About the business
Set up in November 2003 by Rachel Lowe, RTL Games created the Destination game that is being tipped as the 'New Monopoly'. Destination London was the Christmas bestseller of 2004 in Hamleys of London. RTL Games now plan to expand the Destination brand which has the potential to be taken anywhere across the globe.

Judges comments
Rejected by the Dragons, but not by us. Former taxi-driver Rachel Lowe appeared on the first series of BBC2's cult success Dragons' Den and was sent packing. Nerveless, her confidence in the product remained absolute. She successfully secured shelf space in board game specialist Hamley's. Her company, RTL Games is now expanding internationally and through Destination games based on UK cities, all of this aided by the £200,000 in funding that she managed to raise. But the award is for more than that. Sheâs proved an inspiration for women entrepreneurs, taking an ambassadorial role and speaking to potential businesswomen at schools and colleges. An arch-self publicist, which is not a criticism, she has a documentary team following her every move and has secured huge amounts of valuable PR to help grow the business.
