Judges comments
Despite very strong entries, Christina Domecq was a clear winner of the Young Entrepreneur of the Year by virtue of the sheer scale and potential of her new business, SpinVox. Launched in March 2003, SpinVox successfully converts voicemail messages into texts and sends these to customersâ mobile phones. The technology has been developed, tested, and launched, and already SpinVox has nearly £1 million of turnover. Its potential growth is enormous, with £100 million turnover a very real prospect within a few years. Christina has persuaded investors to put up millions of pounds to grow the business, and has already partnered with many of the top mobile brands. She has built a very impressive company very fast, and is destined for substantially more success in the near future. |
