The judges took a broad definition of manufacturing here and opted for Jennifer Irvineâs Pure Package. As a premium meals-on-wheels concept Irvine has made the company a roaring success in a short space of time. In only two years she has secured more than 600 clients, including some of the worldâs best known celebrities and film stars as clients, supplying them with three meals a day to meet their dietary requirements. All produce used is fresh, free-range and GM-free. Turnover for supplying more than 175,000 meals reached close to £400,000 last year is set to grow further in 2006. Importantly, Irvine has also recognised the value of using environmentally-friendly packaging and off-sets any of the carbon it uses delivering the meals through the carbon neutral scheme.
